Listen to the river flow. Listen through the land it goes. Listen to what Ophelia knows. Listen to the river flow. Listen to the holy well - Secrets from the earth it held. From the holy golden throne - Listen to the river flow. Holy, holy, holy Is the river almighty Which was, is, and is to come. Listen to the water-song. He is coming with the clouds. Every eye shall see Him. He is coming like the seas And the river shall greet Him. Listen to the river flow. Listen through the land it goes. Listen to what Ophelia knows. Listen to the river flow.

As the wings of eternity enfold thee in the shroud of night; As the waters of endless sleep start to creep over their banks; As the autumn leaves fall brown and thy crown is now of silver; And the winter sky turns grey; And they say, "The bell, it rings for thee" - Notice how the leaves dance on. They have gone beyond beyond. And all the words we writ thereon: They have gone beyond beyond. "God giveth songs in the night"- This is right true I know, But listeners are not promised. I'm blessed and cursed alone. As the autumn leaves fall down; And my crown is now of silver; And the winter sky is grey; And they say, the bell, it rings for me - I see how the leaves dance on; They have gone beyond beyond. And all the words I wrote thereon; They have gone beyond beyond.

Was it you who crucified my lord? Or was it you who crowned him with the thorns? Or was it you who nailed him to the tree? Or was it you who placed him in the tomb? Or was it you who rolled away the stone? Was it you who anointed my lord? Or was it you who washed his feet with hair? Or was it you he taught how to pray? Or was it you who drank his blood like wine? Or was it you on his last meal did dine? Was it you who thrice denied my lord? Or was it you who hewed the cross from tree? Or was it you who forged the iron nails? Or was it you with hammer in your hand? And was it you who killed the son of man?

O we walk as one together, and we walk as one tonight. And we pray to Black Madonna. And we pray unto her light. And our tongues will taste the snowflakes for our hearts do know what's right: To kneel beside the holy cedar and sing until the Lantern lights. O we walk behind the Lantern through the wonders of the wood. And we pray unto Osiris for our hearts have understood. And the dead leaves are His relics. And the seeds are His prayer beads. And the wind it sings his hymnal. For our lord the rivers bleed. We stand motionless in moonlight; starlit statues of the saints singing of the revelation deep within a state of grace. O we walk behind the Lantern through the wonders of the wood and we pray unto Osiris for our hearts have understood.

My heart has opened like a bloom and gazed beyond the secret veil which hung like mist among the trees and turned to dew upon the leaves. The droplets gleam like stars on fronds and William-with-the-Little-Flame glides among the thorns and buds where Holy Ghost haunts forest god. The Lantern's flame has shown the path. A thousand candles lit and passed. A thousand more yet to be seen - and every light an eerie green. Here the light consumes our words: fiery spells and sermons both issue forth in flickering tongues as blossoms on the vine of song.
6.
Consider now the lilies of the field. Consider now the birds of the air. There are birds upon your breath and flowers in your hair. The gentle rose is in your flowing hair. The blue heron upon your music flies. There are wings within your songs and petals in your eyes. Long may you stand within the tassled corn. Long may you walk upon the desert sand... But forget thee not to sing and cast your songs to wind.

Well, the holly bears the berry as white as the milk And Mary bore Jesus who was wrapped up in silk. Mary bore Jesus, our saviors to be. As green as the leaves and as deep as the sea. O the holly bears the berry And what a wondrous sight. Mary bore Jesus upon Christmas night. Mary bore Jesus who hung upon a tree And flowers ever on for you and for me. O the holly bears the berry as green as the grass And Mary bore Jesus who died on a cross. Mary bore Jesus, our saviors for to be. Born in a manger and yet a king was He. O the holly bears the berry as black as the coal And Mary bore Jesus who died for us all. Mary bore Jesus who hung upon a tree And he is our king and She is our Queen. O the holly bears the berry - as blood it is red And Mary bore Jesus who rose from the dead. He rose from the dead, our Lord Evergreen And walks hand in hand with our Lady Mary.

about

Stone Breath Red Lion, Pennsylvania

Stone Breath is not new. It is cracked. Broken. Imperfect. Hidden. Weathered by the seasons.

We sing of ghosts and of forgotten paths through forest and fallow field.
